The host is American restaurateur Guy Fieri who travels along the USA, Canada or Europe looking for the most fascinating cafes and introduces them to the viewers. Each show has a specific focus on a certain dish, like burgers, pasta, comfort food. Small cafes with traditional food and home-style recipes or ethnic specialties adored by the locals are of particular interest to the host. Guy Fieri enters the kitchen, gets to know the cook, actively takes part in cooking, interacts with the guests and kitchen staff and gives his humorous spicy comments on the process and the food itself.
